An APPle for Teacher Gift

App for Teacher Feature

Can you believe that it's nearly August? Geez. I am not at all ready for summer to end. I'd like to tack on another month or two. However, all of the kids going back to school in Arizona (thank you Facebook) have put fall planning top of mind. I am not quite ready to hit the stores for school supplies and such quite yet, but I have nailed down our back to school teacher gifts. Today, I am sharing my "APP"le for Teacher printable. Paired with an iTunes gift card, this printable is one of the easiest back-to-school teacher gifts I've ever put together. I printed the cards on my home printer on plain white cardstock and actually ordered the gift card on Amazon (didn't even need to leave the house!). DOWNLOAD THE APPLE PRINTABLE.  Despite the ease in creation I think it's likely to be one of the most successful gifts we've given, because who doesn't love a gift card?!? … [Read More...]

Affiliate links do not affect the purchase price of anything you might buy. We're movie goers. We often take the kids to see the latest release on opening weekend. It's our "thing." I try not to think about the serious cash that we're putting out to see these films, especially when upgrading to IMAX or 3D. Fortunately we live near a theater that allows outside food within reason, so I defray our costs by creating little goodie bags and themed treat boxes to take to most movies...at least that's how I justify this fun. We recently saw the Minions movie and I made up some quick little Minion themed boxes for our theater candy (inspired by this post). They would really make for darling DIY Minion party favors though. The best part is they come together … [Read More...]

Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Bars Recipe

Reeses Peanut Butter Bars Feature

I have been cleaning and tossing like a mad woman for the last month or so. If you follow me on social, you may already know that I have donated about 20 bags to the local thrift outlet. I am trying so much harder to use what I have, as opposed to hitting the store. I have two areas in my house left to tackle - my kitchen and my craft studio. Yikes! You can imagine why they're the last on the list... I am working through the kitchen one cupboard at a time. I just tackled my baking cupboard. Overall it was more a clean-up and organize than a toss, but I did find a cake mix just about to expire, along with some Reeses Peanut Butter Cups from a family reunion (we were in charge of the S'mores). Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Bars Recipe I decided to use them to come up with a last-minute dessert for the family. Enter Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Bars. They're so simple to make. So simple. … [Read More...]
