Spruce Up Your Entry Way For Spring

Spruce up your Entryway for Spring

Hey, hey Snappy peeps!  It's Jessica from Mom 4 Real back to share another fun, colorful project!  I am sooooo ready for better weather...hasn't this been the longest winter ever? I've been adding springy touches all over our home, but when I walked in our front door the other day, I realized that the first impression of our home was just blah.  So, I decided to do a spring spruce up in our entry  way! I mean, just look at this mess...dead wreath on the door from Christmas (shameful), dead leaves floating across the floor, a basket full of flip flops and boots (which makes no sense at all), an old chest full of books just taking up space, a bunch of coats and jackets we aren't using now and some stuff I had thrown up on the shelf.  Blah, blah, blah. I started by grabbing a bench that I had put in our garage some time ago.  It was mustard colored and didn't really fit with the … [Read More...]

Great Easter Ideas

It's a bit crazy around here...Snap is right around the corner and I cannot wait!!! In the meantime, I had a lot of fun checking out all of your posts this week. Did you know that I really check out almost every single post linked up? Obviously, I am better some weeks than others, but I actually found many of my contributors and team members via the Snap linky. I was sad to see a thread on Facebook this week about how bloggers don't like to check out the highlights and skip right through them. I know I put a lot of time into compiling the highlights here and you're taking the time to link up...Will you do me a favor and AT LEAST visit two of the highlighted projects?! I would sure love that... Show + Tell Highlights Before I dive into all of the fun Easter ideas that I will be highlighting this week, I wanted to send you off to visit a "new to me" blogger that I discovered … [Read More...]

Simple & Fun Colored Pencil Teacher Gift

Cute and Simple Colored Pencil Teacher Gift with free printable

Hi there! Michele here from The Scrap Shoppe back today with a simple and fun teacher appreciation gift idea. I love giving our teachers something special at the end of the school year to let them know they are appreciated. I also try to make the gift thoughtful and something they may be able to use. I think these glittery pastel colored pencils make for a very fun gift that look cute to boot!   You can find this specific colored pencil set at Target, but any colored pencils will work. You also need coordinating washi tape, a bit of twine, and the Color My World printable I made specifically for this project.   I have two versions of the printable available, all on a single file. The one on the left matches the glittery pastel colored pencil set while the one on the right is great for primary colors.   Use the washi tape to wrap the pencils in a single row. The bottom piece of … [Read More...]

My New Favorite Plugin to Increase Pageviews!

New Plugin To Increase Pageviews

Today I am going to show you my new favorite plugin! The plugin is called AddThis Smart Layers and its main job is to help increase your blog pageview and engagement! We like pageviews right? (wink!) The plugin is called AddThis Smart Layers. This plugin has several different options including share buttons, follow buttons, and my favorite the "What's Next" feature. AddThis describes this feature  as, "When a desktop visitor scrolls down your page, a box will slide in at the bottom to promote the next best step (post). To see a live example of the plugin in action you can visit this post on my blog  and scroll to the bottom. Watch for the little box to fly in from the right hand side. Fun huh? This "what's next" box is just another way to circulate your content and keep readers engaged and on your site. To Install the Plugin: 1. Login to your blog dashboard. 2. Click on … [Read More...]
