Vintage Camper Makeovers

Vintage Camper Makeovers

I am definitely NOT a camper. Okay, so I was a camper when I was little and my parents did all the work. We're talking tent setup and take-down, scrambled eggs and pancakes on the Coleman stove, dishes done in separate buckets of soapy and clean water and chaperoning us via flashlight to and from the bathroom. That so isn't my thing as a grownup. We have yet to take our four kids camping—and I'm sure it has something to do with my aversion to dirt, bugs, campfire smoke, more dirt and more bugs. But I could be seriously tempted to head up the canyon if we were towing on of these … [Read more...]

DIY Hello Sign

Hello! For months I've wanted a sign for my front entry way that said "hello." I've seen numerous wood cut out styles that I really liked, but I wanted to make something myself. DIY White Winter Wreath

DIY White Winter Wreath via SNAP

I am dreaming of a white Christmas... Which is not terribly far fetched considering I live in Utah and we've already had more than three feet of snow this season. What I am really looking forward to though is a home decorated with white - starting with a white winter wreath on the front door. This was a super-quick project (you know what a fan I am of quickie crafts) and soo inexpensive (like, dollar store priced). I started out with a regular grapevine wreath. I purchased it for about $6, but I see them at the dollar store all the time. I took it out on the deck and spray … [Read more...]

How to Pick the Perfect Entryway Rug

Entry Rug

Choosing a rug is one of the most difficult design decisions I've made in my house. Selecting flooring? No problem. Choosing paint colors? No big deal. Choosing a rug, even a small 2x3 for the entryway? Nearly impossible. Anyone else have this problem? In the summer I've resorted to using bamboo rugs in both the front entry and near the door out to the back deck. I like the modern, sleek look they provide and they're so durable. I purchased my bamboo rugs from World Market - I think they are about three years old and still look great! The weather is cooling off again though and I … [Read more...]
