Cookie Exchange Party Ideas

Jen is hosting her annual cookie exchange today. Last year’s event was so much fun and I can’t wait to go!

And did you see the lovely invite Lara designed for the event? Love it.

Tatertots and Jello Cookie Exchange

In honor of the event, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite cookie exchange party ideas.

Jenny's Cookies Cookie Exchnage

If you have any time at all, you must click through and view all the details in this party from Jenny’s Cookies. Every detail is impeccably finished and absolutely gorgeous. Lucky kids.

Pottery Barn Cookie Exchange Love the neutrals in this Pottery Barn tablescape. The use of white makes it look so vintagey-modern (is there such a thing?)

If you’re looking for some fun party ideas, head over. They have a how-to, recipes and lovely photos.

Frog Prince Paperie Cookie ExchangeHow cute is this fun dessert table? It looks like the perfect setting for a kids party. You can get the digital files for all of the fun packaging and tags at the Frog Prince Paperie.

Living Locurto Cookie ExchangeAmy, from Living Locurto, has some great cookie exchange printables in my favorite colors available for free on her site. How fun!

North Pole Cookie Exchange More red and turquoise cookie exchange party ideas from Hostess with the Mostess. I love the red polka dot bags.

Sweetopia Cookie Exchange There are some really fun ideas at this candyland cookie exchange hosted by Sweetopia. She picked up all of her party printables from Kim, at TomKat Studio. I love how easy it would be to implement this event even on short notice.

Good Housekeeping Cookie ExchangeThis Good Housekeeping get together is probably a bit more like what a cookie exchange party would look like at my house, but I love it for its simplicity. Reminds me of my mom…

The Pretty Blog Cookie ExchangeI bookmarked these printables over on The Pretty Blog last year. Still love ’em.

Southern Living Cookie ExchangeI think that this idea from Southern Living is genius! Instead of taking home plates full of cookies, you get to take home cookie dough that can be baked up when you have the time…

Brooklyn Limestone Cookie ExchangeThese cookie exchange party take home invites from Brooklyn Limestone are lovely. Who wouldn’t want to go to a party with an invite like this one?!

Evolution of Style Cookie ExchangeHere’s another take on the invites from Brooklyn Limestone by Evolution of Style. I like the red spatulas!

Joy Ever After Cookie ExchangeNot only is Joy Ever After a simply gorgeous blog, there are some wonderful cookie exchange printables available for free! This little snowflake cookie cutter would be a great inexpensive thank you for party attendees.

I must admit, I am a bit new to cookie exchange parties. The first one I attended was Jen’s first party last year. Do you host or participate in cookie exchanges? Would love to see some of your great ideas too!

  1. I’m seriously considering having some kind of swap meet after Christmas… I love the idea of a cookie swap but I just don’t have time before Christmas. Wouldn’t a “come swap your least useful Christmas gift” party be fun?! :)

    • Ha! That is a fun post-Christmas party idea…I super enjoyed Tatertot Jen’s cookie exchange the other day, but I have to be honest and say it’s not something I could do in the midst of the holidays :)

In fact, I am more of a New Year’s girl myself. I often send out New Year’s cards instead of Christmas cards…

  2. Love all the great ideas! Cookie exchanges are so much fun, I wish we lived closer so we could go :)!
