DIY Cleaners and Spring Cleaning Printables

Spring is here – the flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping and I’m finally been able to open the doors and windows to let the fresh air in on a daily basis.

Opening my home to the sweet smell of spring has also invited in the sunlight, but with all that extra light the dirty windows and dusty nooks in my house seem to have become far more apparent.

Though I am typically pretty good at keeping things picked up, I must admit that this year hosting SNAP! has set me a good bit behind and every room needs attention (some, more than others). I’ve needed a good kick in the pants to get those dirty little jobs underway.

Homes.com Spring into the Dream

Fortunately, Homes.com has provided me with just the incentive I need to get going on all those cleaning projects with their Spring into the Dream contest.

I am going to tell you about what I am dreaming about in just a second, but first..

What’s really cool is that Homes.com wants to know what Spring into the Dream means to you AND they’re giving you the chance to win $500!

I would love to have you join me in this little adventure. To participate in the Spring into the Dream contest:

Simple as that!
I publicly professed my love for Homes.com a few weeks ago and while I love the ability to “window shop” for my dream home while in my pajamas, I also appreciate that they realize you’ve also got to “love the one your with.” Their site is full of tips and tricks for caring the home.

A little light reading on their site kicked off a whole lot of spring cleaning inspiration for me…This year, I am embarking on a bit of a more frugal cleaning adventure.

DIY Cleaning Products

This year, I am embarking on a bit of a more frugal cleaning adventure. I’ve compiled several great DIY cleaner recipes to get started with:

DIY Spring Cleaners

1. Dryer sheets 2. Stain remover (Shout copycat) 3. Dishwasher detergent 4. Tile and grout cleaner 5. Air freshener (Fabreze copycat) 6. All natural general household cleaners 7. Hard water shower head cleaner 8. Stain remover (Oxyclean copycat) 9. Fabric Softener 10. Hard water stain remover

Interested in additional ideas? I’ve got dozens more saved over on Pinterest.

Do you have a favorite DIY cleaning recipe and/or trick? I’d love to hear about it…

Cleaning and To Do List Printables

I am a list maker, are you? To keep on top of things, I am going to incorporate a weekly cleaning checklist. I couldn’t help but fall in love with a few of these great cleaning and to do printables. They are all free!

1. Spring cleaning check lists 2. Spring cleaning door hanger 3. Honey dew list 4. Spring to do lists 5. Clean house list

There are dozens of detailed lists available to help keep you on track…I’ve added several additional printables to my Pinterest board.

Do lists and printables help you to stay on top of things?

I will be updating my Spring into the Dream pinboard for the next two weeks {May 14-25} with all kinds of fun out of the box ideas to clear out and cheer up your home so be sure to check back!

Disclosure: I was not provided any financial compensation or product in exchange for this post. I just thought you might enjoy this fun contest.
