Handmade Valentine’s Day Gift Boxes

Valentine's Day Treat Boxes

Hi friends.  Today I’m sharing a quick, inexpensive and fun idea for a Valentine’s Day gift.  I’m showing you how to make these upcycled Valentine’s Day gift boxes using Washi Tape!  It’s super easy.

You can make these Treat Boxes to hold anything…candy, love notes, money, cookies, etc.  I chose to make some super cute cookies to fill my Treat Boxes with.  I found an adorable set of mini Valentine’s Day cookie cutters at Ross for like $2 (couldn’t pass those up) they were perfect for these containers.  I simply just made a batch of sugar cookies and colored my dough pink & red, cut out all my cookies and baked them.

While they were baking I got to work on my Treat Boxes.  All you do is wrap your plastic crystal light containers in Washi Tape.  I started at the bottom first and worked my way up.  Once your done, fill them with your special Valentine’s Day gifts and add some ribbon and a tag and you have a great gift!

Don’t you think they turned out super cute?!  You can make these for anything not just Valentine’s Day.  Enjoy!

I really like the duct taping around a container concept – much easier than trying to wrap it in some kind of paper. This idea is really awesome! Someone I know is getting one of these this v-day.. :)

  6. Sooooo cute!!

  7. Washi tape is one of my new favorite things. I only have black poka dot & a multi-pattern roll. I hope to collect more & make fun crafts like this one.
