**The winner of the Allora Handmade $50 gift card is Kellie Morgan who said, “I love me some Whippy Cake. I also have a major crush on just.lovely.things. Okay, one more I love, Shaggy Baggys. So cute! Thanks for offering up such a generous giveaway. I have always admired Allora from afar.”
Over on our Facebook page we asked you about where you like to buy your fabric…You shared all sorts of fun spots – from online shops to local loves.
The excitement for sharing the good find is one of the things we like best about this community. One lovely who has an absolute handle on this is Gina, from Hiya Luv!
Gina is genuinely interested in learning (makes sense, she is a full-time student affairs professional). To that end, she is consistently sharing articles she’s read, tips she’s picked up on and her admiration for others.
Gina is a supporter of all those in the handmade business no matter how new they are or how long they’ve worked. She would drop anything in an instant to help a fellow business owner or blogger. She provides encouragement for all. I am lucky to know her and call her my dear friend.
In January, Gina started #setupshop – a Twitter chat for members of the handmade community. Each Monday at 8 p.m. EST, Gina moderates a chat that covers everything from PR and marketing to sourcing the best materials. This chat is such a valuable resource!
Jacqui from CrafteeMcGee has participated in many of Gina’s chats:
