I had such fun helping to host 75 bloggers and their children at an event held at Ikea, Draper. It’s fun to get to know one another in person, but it was even more fun to see so many of you in your “element” as moms. The kids were a delight and I am supremely grateful to Ikea, Draper (thanks Camille!) for being so inclusive.
Also, a special thanks to Emily, from is this REALLY my life, who saved MY life when my camera’s battery died and took the great photos I’m sharing with you today.
Ikea Draper
We started the morning in the dining area enjoying breakfast “on the house.” I enjoyed casually chatting with so many of you and by the looks of it you had fun too…

I also may have enjoyed one or a few too many french toast sticks. Sigh…
Not only did Ikea, Draper provide us with a great breakfast to start the morning, but we also got sneak peak at the new catalog (isn’t the photo of Summer looking at it with her daughter the sweetest ever?).
Most people should have received their copy in the mail, but just in case you haven’t the full Ikea catalog is available online.

I think my favorite item in the new Ikea catalog is the Raskog Kitchen cart (was it in there before?) and I am determined to find it in stock eventually…

Not only did we enjoy breakfast, the catalog and some fun treats, but Ikea, Draper also provided each blogger with a mini shopping spree…

Ikea has become a favorite for crafters and home DIY’ers alike. Who hasn’t heard of an Ikea hack? In fact Rebecca, from The Crafted Sparrow, just shared 25 great Ikea-based projects – you’ve got to check them out!
If you attended our event at Ikea, Draper, I’d love to see what you worked out. Let’s not limit this to event attendees though. If you have created an Ikea “hack” of your own, anytime, please share!

On the Calendar
We’re still looking to host an event in August – just trying to nail down the date and time. This particular event will be a creative make and take type mixer. Watch for details.
In September we will be participating in two events. One of my favorite SNAP! Conference sponsors will be hosting a smaller group on September 20, and then on September 29, we will be opening up some tickets for the Scrapbook USA Expo!
