Those of you who follow me on Instagram may have noticed I was furiously working on a little last minute Christmas project Saturday (What?! You don’t follow me on Instagram? Look me up. I’m @Tauni).
My friend Victoria uses similar bags each year to package her children’s presents from Santa. I thought they’d make a perfect last minute gift for the family. Plus, they’re so GREEN…
Do you do something similar at your house? I have to admit, this is the first time I have…I am a bit of a gift wrap and packaging whore (yep, I went there)…
The construction was ridiculously simple…doesn’t really even warrant a tutorial, which is good because I was so tired, I didn’t take photos.
I simply took a yard of holiday fabric, folded it in half sewed up two of the open sides and space for the drawstring and trimmed it with fur. It took about 15-20 minutes per bag.
I had to purchase all of the supplies, but the fabric was on sale. For three bags, I spent just under $30. Decent enough deal? Was for me…
Our elf does a bit more than create mischief. It delivered a bag to the boys Sunday. They were thrilled…In fact, we’re out of school for the remainder of the year and they are still entertained.
It may be because “someone” told them the bag had magical properties and if used right could transport people and thing back to the North Pole in a twinkling.
Apparently “used right” means dancing around the bag singing Christmas carols because that was the first thing they tried (I have damaging video that I will use against them someday…today is not that day).
This was definitely a last-minute, high-impact gift. Have you come across anything similar at your house? Share here and then join us Thursday, December 22 at 10:30 a.m. MST for our weekly

We will be chatting about last minute holiday gifts AND Steph will be giving away her SNAP! ticket to one lucky participant.
An RSVP with more information will be posted later today!

I love it! This would be perfect to cram all of our Santa gifts in for Christmas morning. Not sure I could go without wrapping EVERYTHING. Wrap whore here, too.
Though I really tried hard to refrain from wrapping all of my 9 month old’s gifts. Its not like he can unwrap. lol! See you at chat!

Michele, Confession time. I have still wrapped about 75 percent of the gifts…I still think it will be fun to have them all under the tree though
And, who knows? Maybe I will give up the wrap a bit more next year.
“See” you tomorrow during #SNAPChat.
