What’s in My Handbag
My handbag is my ‘creativity tool on the go’…Even though I’m small & I always have to have a good sized handbag to make sure it’s chock full of inspirational goodies!
*yes, I’m aware it’s a fashion faux pas, but- I believe in breaking rules! *wink*
So, this striped ticking bag has lots of pockets for all sorts of goodies:
Cards & Notes: Something I always have in my bag…when that bolt of lightening HITS you to write someone a note…I’ve got it at my fingertips! Some of my have are from Compendium!
Sunnies: Because you just feel a little more sassy & creative with cute sunglasses!
$$: cold, hard, cash…a girl’s gotta be ready to fork it over for ‘the’ perfect purchase!
Tapes: Don’t laugh. I always have Washi Tapes in my purse…these are from my new Christmas collection: All is Bright. And, I use them for everything from taping up a cut (bandaid until I get home), to taping a note on a friend’s car/door, to using it to stick inspirational bits in my sketchbooks.
Sketchbooks: I have several of them in my bag. Tiny ones. Just the right size to jot down sketches, ideas, thoughts or feelings…right THEN.
Pens: Gotta have all sorts of writing tools! Currently, I’ve been chalking everything…so, I have my new have liquid chalk pen, a Sharpie, pencil from Ikea & others I love to sketch with in my books.
Scissors: Yup. All the time. Except at the airport. *grin*
Beauties: This is always changing. From lipsticks/glosses to accessories to safety pins to cuticle oil.
Daily Creative Exercise: I usually carry around the strip of paper I pulled out of my jar that morning from my 100 Creativity Exercises…that way it’s on my mind all day long & I’m ready for the creative burst when it comes!
And, lastly…my iPhone. *not pictured- I used it to take these of course.* One of my FAVE creative tools. Calls, Emails, Calendar, Pinterest, Blogging, Twitter, Facebook….& my favorite: Photography. I LOVE to take pictures to document my day, edit them in my fave apps & use Rhonna Designs Insta Lovin’ fonts in Phonto, of course! Upload onto Instagram & *kaPOW* a creative burst of energy!
All bundled up to be one creative handbag. every day.
