Show + Tell No. 123

Dudes. Today I am giving myself a big fat #FAIL!

Seriously. I am working on a wonderful post for next week celebrating my favorite food in the world…DONUTS. I make donuts all the time and have never had a problem, but today I am crying into my mixing bowl because I have ruined two batches!!!

How does someone manage to ruin two batches of donuts you ask? Well, it’s a whole lotta not paying attention apparently.

You all have such lovely photos every single week. Please tell me that you occasionally have a craft (or in this case baking) fail of your own. I need to commiserate with someone!

Anyway, on to the lovely photos! This week a selected a nice mish-mash of my favorite projects to showcase. I hope that you will take a minute to check them out and maybe even pin one or two!

Show + Tell Highlights

Have I mentioned how inspired I’ve been by ’80′s Miami lately? Loooving it! In fact, next week’s donut recipe (that I AM going to get right) is a fancy tropical cake donut. Soooo….When I saw this fun flamingo tote it was a must pick…

I think it’s pretty near impossible to EVER have to many storage bins or totes around the house (or so I tell myself every time I go to Ikea). I think I’d love them even more if they were handmade…

I like notebooks. I like personalization. AND, I love American Crafts scrapbook paper (and not just because they contract with me to run blogger outreach). Let’s just call this project, love at first sight…

Colored, scented glue is pretty. Still not sure if that’s a good thing, or a bad thing, but I would like to send it to school and let them find out!

I love nothing more than a handwritten thank you card (and I owe a few hundred every year after Snap). I feel like I need these stat…

  2. Thank you so much for featuring my printable “Thank You” Cards! :D

  3. Yay! Thank you for your kind words on my Customized Notebook!!

    • You bet Amy! If I can ever get you any product from one of AC’s brands, let me know. Would be happy to send it out! xoxo Tauni

  4. Hi Tauni,
I had a big fat fail this week, too! The plate of food looked fabulous but I took the pics outside on the patio before we ate it and I completely overexposed every one of them! I looked at the screen on the camera at the time and they seemed fine so I didn’t bother to upload them to my laptop. What a shocker when I did, lol.
It happens to me more times than I care to admit and there’s been a few burnt dishes as well.
Good luck with the next batch and thanks so much for hosting!

    • Oh my gosh Robyn. A great dish with bad photos might be even worse. So frustrating! Thanks for sharing your story. It makes me feel a tiny bit better. xoxo Tauni

  5. Thank you for hosting! Have a great week :)

  6. Good luck with the next batch!!!

  7. I’m with you in the fail department. It always happens when you’re trying to take pictures, right?

I had the biggest fail a couple weeks ago… trying to dye leather cord with floor stain and it melted the cups I had it in and all I was left with was pink goop to clean off my bathroom counter for DAYS.

Anyways- thanks for hosting and I can’t wait to see your tropical donuts!
