Happy Wednesday friends!
Ahh. Nothing makes me happier than a three day weekend. It’s not that we have super fancy plans, quite the contrary. It’s just nice to have time…Know what I mean?
I can tell you that I spent more time than I probably needed to using my new Oreck vacuum. I like it enough that I vacuumed every room in the house on Saturday all in one go. How fun is that? Wait, don’t answer…
If you’re interested in an Oreck Magnesium vacuum of your own, pop over and enter the Oreck giveaway before it closes tomorrow night.
Are you back to school yet? We’re back in session and we’ve even completed a few fun back-to-school teacher gift projects. I think my favorite was our “Excited to Grow With You” chalkboard mug plant.
We had loads of fun spending time with family this weekend. I tried out a new salad recipe that I am so excited to share with you next week! Here’s a sneak peak…
Work on the house continues to move forward. We’ve stripped the laundry room and it’s ready for the next steps.
In fact, I just got back from doing a little wallpaper removal work tonight. Can’t wait to reveal some fun tips and tricks.
How about some featured posts?
Show and Tell Highlights
As you peruse this week’s highlights you’re gonna think I was hungry while writing this post. I wasn’t…until I saw all of the yummy recipes linked up this week. Here are a few of my favorite…
Let’s start with breakfast, shall we? I don’t know if it’s because Jack Johnson sings about them or if it’s something else entirely, but these banana pancakes from Life According to the Streets look delicious.

I love to eat salad in the summer. This Chipotle Steak Salad, from Kuzak’s Closet, looks delicious!

Holy delicious. This Peacan Praline Sauce, from Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom, recipe looks amazing. I could probably down the entire thing. What a great teacher gift, no?

Wow. One peek at the photos of the Mini Snickers Cheesecake desserts, from a Pumpkin and a Princess, and you will be ready to head to the kitchen.

It’s not exactly a recipe, but look at this adorable ice cream party in a box, from Teal and Lime. What a fun gift! What a fun party!

Never really linked up to a “linky party” before – so thanks! I know I don’t really fit in the “crafty-DIY” genre of things, so hopefully it’s ok that I linked up! Looking forward to registering for SNAP again!
