Twitter is kinda my favorite social media tool. It’s short, sweet and provides endless opportunities for learning and building great friendships…
Would you believe that I met every member on the SNAP team on Twitter first?! It’s true. And even though we’ve all since met in person, Twitter keeps us in touch and provides an opportunities to connect.
After a great deal of thought and consideration, we have decided to host a weekly Twitter chat connecting via #SNAPChat.
The Details
Beginning Thursday, Nov. 17 at 10:30 a.m. MST (12:30 p.m. EST/9:30 a.m. PST) and continuing weekly, #SNAPChat will cover seasonal trends, as well as tips and tricks for the modern handmade, contemporary craft and DIY community.

The Giveaway
To celebrate our community and sweeten the deal, SNAP will conduct a giveaway as part of #SNAPChat. To be entered to win, participants must RSVP via a weekly linky (This week’s RSVP is at the bottom of this post!) and actively participate in the conversation.
This week we will be giving away one full conference ticket to SNAP! The Conference.
Why Host Another Twitter Chat?
We did not want to create another Twitter chat that just echoed those that are already out there, but we did want to capture the spirit of community and discussion that Twitter chats are really great at generating.
We have also selected a date and time point that is a little different – morning – a step away from the afternoon and evening chats frequently held. Truth be told, we’re a little nervous to be trying something new…
And at the end of the day, if you can’t make our Thursday morning chats, we hope you will connect with one of the on-going chats that members of our team like to frequent. You will be glad you did.

#CraftSocial – A once a month chat about craft related topics, current projects and the artistic process co-hosted by Sister Diane (@sisterdiane) of Crafty Pod and Barbara Forbes-Lyons (@penguinetrax). The next chat will be held Nov. 14 from 4-6:00 p.m. MST.
#HandmadeChat- Brings together people who make and sell handmade goods and chats business. Hosted by @indiebusiness and @handmadegoods Thursdays 6-7:00 p.m. PST.
#SetUpShop – Brings together small business owners to chat about the process involved with setting up and growing a small online business. Hosted by @SetUpShop Mondays 7-8:00 p.m. MST.
#SNAPChat – A weekly chat covering seasonal trends, as well as tips and tricks for the modern handmade, contemporary craft and DIY community. Hosted by @SNAPConf Thursdays 10:30 -11:00 a.m. MST.

I’m a teacher in “real life” so I teach until 2 each day. I’m sorry to miss this chat- it looks awesome!
