We’re a couple months into the What’s in My Handbag Series now and I am telling you what, I enjoy it as much today as I did when we started.
This week I am featuring a woman whom I have a ton of respect for – Rhoda, from Southern Hospitality. Sometimes I like to pretend that Rhoda is my “partner in crime.” She runs Haven Conference and as such understands a part of my life very few others actually can…Plus she introduced me to Chick-fil-A peach shakes!
Rhoda is everything I think a southern woman is…easy, feminine and well, hospitable! Plus, she likes loves sweet tea.
I first found Rhoda a little over three years ago, when she posted about the beadboard wallpaper she’d just installed in her kitchen.
I bookmarked that post and must have visited it at least 500 times that summer!
Of course Rhoda has been busy since then and she’s accomplished millions more projects. Here are a few more recent posts that I have enjoyed…
1. Blueberry Cream Cheese 2. Coastal Inspired Lamp 3. Painting Furniture Black 4. Chocolate Salted Caramel Pretzels
Isn’t Rhoda incredible?
Without further ado, let’s take a little peek right inside her bag…
What’s in My Handbag
Hi, I’m so happy to be guesting over at Tauni’s place today, sharing what’s in my purse.
Well, as many of you might experience, my purse can get out of control in no time flat. Paper clutter is the worst and my purse usually gets a good dose of paper during any month.
I don’t tend to change out my purse all that often, call me lazy, but when I find one I like, I keep toting it around for months at a time.
I found this leather metallic beauty at TJ Maxx last year and it’s been a favorite for a few months. I love a purse with side pockets on the outside so that I can slide my cell phone right inside and it’s handy to reach.
Inside my sometimes messy purse, you will find a nice wallet that I found at a yardsale (it was brand new for $5), makeup bag, mints, hand lotion, and at least one or 2 tape measures.
A girl can’t have too many tape measures and I take as many freebies as I can get! They come in handy when you’re out thrift shopping or looking for something for a certain area, you can whip out that tape measure and make sure it fits.
This exercise that Tauni challenged me with, sharing the contents of my purse, spurred me to actually clean it out and now I feel so much better, so thank you, Tauni!
Rhoda, thanks so very much for sharing what’s in your handbag with us today. I love the tape measures! Be sure to check out today’s other guest – Beth.

I am a fan of the tape measure even though I probably use it far less than you cute crafty people. I actually have a little keychain-size one so it’s with me all the time…you know, in case I need to measure the height of my Diet Coke.
