Speaker Announcement: Oh Snap! We’ve Got Photo Classes

Last week as we talked goals, it became a very apparent that one of the goals everyone had in common was to take better photos.

In fact, the 101 Must Take Photos post has quickly become one of the site’s most popular posts!

In light of that, we’re excited to share two more speakers for this April’s conference. Please welcome professional photographers Kristen Duke and Emilie Ralph.

SNAP! Creativity SpeakerKristen Duke is a lifstyle and portrait photographer based in Austin, Texas. Her goal is to capture the joy in life.

Kristen believes that a site with bad photos is just not a website. She has been sharing photo tips with bloggers for almost two years. Her photo course and corresponding e-book “Say No to Auto,” are very popular with at-home photographers looking to improve their skills.

Emilie Decker SNAP SpeakerEmilie Ralph, is a photographer who specializes in family and children portraiture and photography education.

Her ability to capture the details and emotion of life’s breathtaking moments makes her one of the most sought-after photographers. Her award-winning work can be found on the walls of Utah’s trendiest homes, businesses and has been published in magazines.
At SNAP! you can expect in-depth classroom experiences, along with one-on-one time with a professional on one of our conference photo walks.

  1. Such exciting news! I have just recently started shooting out of manual mode. Can’t wait to learn how to hone my skills. Both of these ladies are so darn talented, it will be tough deciding which class to take. :)

    • Kara, I am really excited about all of our class offerings. SO MUCH FUN! Luckily, you won’t really have to “pick” if you don’t want to…both classes will be held at separate times :)

      xoxo

  2. What an exciting announcement! I love both of these gals…they’re amazing.

  3. If only I lived in Utah! This would be so fun and informative. Kristen has taken our family pictures and we TREASURE them!

  4. I really need to learn better photography so I am excited to see the glasses offered. I don’t have a super nice camera though, and it is no way in the budget. I have a simple Kodak point and shoot camera but I believe there is an option to go out of “auto” mode. Do you think these classes will be more geared to those with the really nice cameras or will they be able to help those who have absolutly no idea what they are doing :) I am guessing a bit of both but I just want to check. I can’t wait to start signing up for classes!

    • Summer, I totally hear you. Nice cameras are pricey! I have to be honest here and let you know that nine times out of ten I am actually using my iPhone :)

Emilie actually takes clients with cameras like yours. In fact, Mandi from Vintage Revivals just took Emilie’s class with a point and shoot and loved it. I think that you would find it to be super helpful!

If you haven’t already purchased your ticket to the conference, make sure you do before the end of the day on Friday when ticket prices go up!

      xoxo

  5. I meant classes not glasses :)
