Create a dramatic dessert presentation for guests this fall with this decadent Chocolate Butterscotch Lush recipe, created in partnership with Cost Plus World Market.
I absolutely love this time of year. The weather cools off, the leaves crisp up, guests pop in and out, and Christmas baking begins in earnest. From the pumpkin spice that appears in early September to sugar cookies and decadent holiday desserts, Christmas food and drinks rule the day!
Today I am sharing a decadent butterscotch dessert. While it makes an appearance on ice cream sundaes throughout summer, the caramel color and rich full flavor always reminds me of the holiday season.
Chocolate Butterscotch Lush
Once we pass Labor Day, I have holidays on the brain. Fall has been up around the house since mid-August and I’ve already started decorating little corners of the house for Halloween. I’ve also stepped up my dessert game.
Layers of cookie, rich cream cheese, whipped cream and butterscotch pudding come together in this ridiculously easy to create dessert served up in Cost Plus World Market’s new lasagna baker.
Each layer has a different texture, and when combined together they create a flavor profile that’s to die for, but it all starts and ends with Bahlsen Cookies, a classic German treat.
I gave the new dishes and linens I purchased at Cost Plus World Market for Thanksgiving dinner a test run this past weekend. My neighbors ooohed and awed over the gorgeous blush pink plates and gold flatware as much as I did. I can’t wait to use them for additional entertaining – they’ll make any dish I choose to serve look absolutely amazing.
Can we pause for a moment over the gorgeous gold flatware? I die.
Whether you’re entertaining at home, or taking a treat out, a layered dessert like this Chocolate Butterscotch Lush is the perfect answer. They’re simple to make, easy to transport and the complex looking layers are stunning to look at and even better to eat!
I am including links to all of the items used in my post, including the dreamy blush colored Elements dishes below for your convenience. If you’re in Utah and live in the Salt Lake Valley, be sure to visit the location in Cottonwood Heights, it’s my favorite.
