I love decorating for Halloween. It’s such a fun holiday. This year I sorted through the boxes of Halloween in the basement and pulled out all of the black and white, along with a few pops of orange.
I started right out front with my porch. I created a creepy feel using a lot of Spanish moss, tucking it here and there into the nooks and crannies of all my pieces. You can read more about my porch and view all the photos for my Halloween porch here.
One of my favorite features on the porch are my spooky pumpkin topiaries. I love how they turned out. For all the details on my new planters, visit my Halloween porch post.
Halloween Home Tour
Just inside the house, I moved around some furniture to make way for a fun Halloween photo booth. Check out all of the details and grab the cut files for my Halloween photo booth here.
I made the spider specimen art and framed it in this inexpensive 20×20 frame from Ikea last year. It’s still one of my favorite pieces of Halloween decor. You can grab the full tutorial for the Halloween spider specimen art here.
I love black and white and keep my entryway pretty neutral year round. I “spookified” the space by writing spooky on my large chalk board and adding a few black and white Halloween decorations.
New this year is my Heidi Swapp Glow Light Box. I have to tell you at first I was like, another light box? I will just use what I have…BUT, you guys. This light box? I love it so much. The glow in the dark effect is so cool and the stand totally makes it 100x better!
In the family room I’ve decorated my mantel with some really basic items. I don’t love a cluttered up look.
The prints are all available free download on my site. You can grab the Halloween prints here.
I love the 3-D witches cauldron specimen art that I whipped up last-minute. It turned out fantastic. You can find the full tutorial for the witches cauldron specimen art here.
Let me introduce you to Morton. He’s our resident house skeleton and reigns supreme over the candy trolley.
Over in the dining room I added a few simple pieces to bring Halloween into the space.
I added black and white pieces to the shelves, along with a few pops of orange (mostly candy).
And then decorated the tabletop with some witches hats and candy corn.
Thanks for joining me on a Halloween home tour. As you can see, we’re all ready to celebrate Halloween next week. I can’t wait to meet all the little Halloween trick-or-treaters that come to the door!
